I have a 8200 Dimension and my system restore will not work, can anyone suggest how to correct this? I am aware that I have a virus and it seems to have taken over my system, but it is deeply embedded and I was hoping I could get advice before I turn the computer over to professionals. I feel that the cost would be more expensive than to just go out and buy a new computer.

Also, Windows Media Player 10 is not working and I tried to re-install and came up up with an error that I need to restart the computer and re-install. I have done this a few times to no avail.

Any advice from the Group would be sincerely appreciated.
