Can you check if windows itself is able to read the Tag

Run CMD as admin and type wmic bios get serialnumber

If you don't get service tag than support assist wont be able to read it either.

There is a big chance than your last repair included Motherboard which resulted in this failure. Open BIOS (tap F2 while booting)  : If BIOS can not read the service tag than its the tech who replaced motherboard. He/She was supposed to update the Tag after motherboard replacement
