Support assist no device
I have the G5 15SE, two of them actually.
First one would get the no device error for PCI bridge, PCI bus, and HD audio controller in support assist. No errors in device manager.
Tech support reinstalled all drivers and when the error came back they said it's fine because I didn't have those devices installed. After some searching the little I found on the problem didn't sound good so I contacted customer care and they sent me a new laptop.
The new laptop came and the processor fan doesn't work, and support assist says no device - PCI bridge, now tech support says this should go away when we get the fan fixed.
So my confusion here is was the first system totally faulty or does support assist mess up sometimes? I am new to Dell and am wondering once the fan gets fixed on the new laptop and if the error is still there if I should just ignore it or not.
2 people also have this problem
