Hulk unfortunatly the SpltBfrSync is a very odd situation. You have a BCV that's synching from its STD device. But suddenly the copy process is interrupted. The BCV device content is at most useless. You can't flag them as Split since a Splitted BCV is available to the hosts. And it needs some extra flags just to be sure you understood it was a very special (and odd) situation
And you need an explicit -instant keyword since the default behaviour assumes your STD devices are quiet (and you can split without hurry). If your STD devices aren't idle and you can't wait (the content is changing while you are splitting) you need an extra option. Not a big deal, just a few characters in your shell scripts I guess

we used to always get that when we were syncing to unprotected BCVs and physical drive that BCV symdev was on would happen to fail.
