Not entirely sure what you mean by host groups.

The only thing I can think of is Consistency Groups.

Have you checked if this serves the purpose of what you are trying to achieve?

I think what Chris means is Storage Groups as we had previously with VNX/Clarion arrays.

How is this done on the Unity?

The concept of Storage Group no longer exists in Unity.

Although we still use similar stuff under the hood, this is all removed from the customer experience.

The way to provide LUN access to hosts is done via the host access tab in the LUN options in Unisphere.

But I think Chris was actually asking about groups, not individual access.

The new Unity Unisphere was design to be user friendly. Missing storage groups is still completely counter productive

I agree.  Storage groups, Initiator Groups, or Host Groups. Some way to assign (mask) hosts or their initiators to LUNs or groups of LUNs (CGs).  Otherwise it is tedious and error prone in larger envrionments.

In my opinion this doesn't sound like we can expect this functionality anytime soon
