I've searched, read, and done a few things that have been recommended in this forum on removing Virtumonde, but I haven't succeeded in removing it completely. I'm using a Dell Dimension 2300 on Windows XP. I now run Spysweeper full time just to block half the websites I'm being redirected to and I have used Malwarebytes Anti-Malware to try and get rid of it all, but alas it still keeps coming back.
