wininet.dll missing

All,

I lost my wininet.dll file when I uninstalled Anti Virus software. The computer seems to be running fine except for IE - does not work. I did the hijack scan since some people recommended this. I would like to reinstall/ generate the wininet.dll file but do not know how.

Can anybody help? - Thanks

Don't know if it will be able to fix your wininet.dll but it will get rid of the infection that ate it. (It wasn't a real antivirus).

I think you had better check/Fix Checked

SkyTrooper is on the list of Rogue AntiSpyware products and is not to be trusted.

Hopefully you did not buy it.

Did it find a wininet.dll for you? It is a part of Internet Explorer so the following procedure may help if it didn't:

"Repair Internet Explorer: Select Start/Run, type MSINFO32 in the 'Open'
box and press enter. From the 'TOOLS' menu select 'Internet Explorer Repair Tool'.
Then from the next menu select the repair option."
