VNXe to VNX2 Windows ACL replication
Hi All,
I'm running a CIFS environment with VNXe3150 and I will migrate my VNXe to new VNX5200 box soon.
May I ask if I replicate my filesystem from VNXe3150 to VNX5200 will the ACL and file system security settings also be replicated over? or I have to use CIFS tools to do that job?

May I ask if I perform VNXe to VNX filesystem replication, is it considered I'm using the Replicator? it seems like VNXe replication and VNX replication use a different SW (at least the SW name
)

yes - there is no other built-in file replication than Replicator on VNX1/2 and VNXe1

If you use Replicator it will replicate the file and directory ACL's
shares and share ACL's arent part of the file system and need to be migrated seperately.
same as CIFS server, local groups and other system settings
