adobe flashplayer 9

I'm trying to install adobe flashplayer 9 on windows xp home edition version 2002-sp2,

and it will not install.

can anyone help??

How do you know it's not installed? Are you getting an error message?

when i go to add/remove programs it's on there like it is installed but then when i visit websites, like to view videos or something like that, they keep saying that i need to install the new flashplayer...
