AMD vs INTEL with Vista

I've noticed that ppl with INTEL cpus seem to be having more problems with windows vista as opposed to ppl with AMD cpus, is it a coincidence or just my imagination, also before the thrashing begins, let me say that this is not about who is better but in some ways a sort of poll to see how well windows vista stacks up with AMD and INTEL.:smileyindifferent:

I would say it's your imagination. :smileywink:

I have an XPS 400 with an Intel Dual Core 3.0GHz and run the Vista Business version as a dual boot with XP MCE. I have not paid attention to what CPU someone is using when they report a Vista problem. And many problems are related to hardware driver and software incompatibilities. People who do an upgrade are not performing "clean" installs which causes issues because they didn't uninstall incompatible drivers and software. Personally, I have Vista running nice and smooth and as soon as video drivers are optimized and a couple of software apps I use become Vista compatible, Vista will be my everyday OS and I'll remove the dual boot.

Those of use with E521s (AMD Processors) haven't recieved our updates yet.  It may seem like Intel has more problems, but it maybe that Dell is still working on the release for AMD processors.

I've been trying to get some sort of explaination from Dell on why there appears to be a delay, but I've gotten no response from them at all.

Microsoft has far more problems and complaints than any other OS. Wonder why?
Intel, likewise, has more problems and complaints than any other chip maker. Could it be the same reason?
There is simply so many more of them out there.
