Annoying wireless network notification after installing sp2

After installing sp2, I constantly (like every 10 minutes or so) get a pop-up notification on the bottom right hand corner from the wireless network connection icon. It reminds me that my wireless network is not connected. I tried several things to disable it, but none of them seems to take care of the problem: 1) Unchecked "Notify me when this connection has limited or no connectivity" under Properties. 2) Under the "Advanced" menu, "Advanced Settings", made my Local Area Connection to be the first to be accessed by network services. 3) In Taskbar and Start Menu Properties, in "Customize" under Taskbar, made the Wireless Network Connection always hide.

The third actually seemed to take care of the problem temporarily, but once I restart Windows it goes back to its default settings and the wireless notification starts to pop-up again. Please help me! This notification is really annoying. Thanks!

P.S.: I have a 600m, Windows XP Home Edition (Service Pack 2).
