Correct, Dell cannot assist you with Windows 11. If you install Windows 11, all we can do is run the pre-Windows ePSA diagnostics.

Does that mean that you cannot try it? No. Just save the original Dell Windows 10 image to a USB key before trying in case Windows 11 fails.

It's not finely tuned for Intel, it's a cache latency issue on amds side

I think its shocking that a 3year old desktop is not included in the upgrade, After all we were told aurora r7 was the best yet and so easy to upgrade which is a shame because its a great machine and supportAssist have always been very helpful  

I agree Rab1872. I have an Aurora R7 w/Intel I7 chip purchased less than 3years ago and It does not have TMP....didn't know I needed it or it existed then. My BIOS just has TPM grayed out. Dell's site simply leaves the less than 3 year old high end model off the list without addressing it head on.

I even looked at the Dell upgrade option to maybe go that route with a trade in of this unit. Guess what the trade in amount from Dell towards a new Dell pc is... $187. Ouch!

I have owned numerous Dell PC's through the years... quick count would be 10 at this point. One of the biggest deciding factors for me has been ongoing support. Truth be told, I have purchased many extended warranties with my Dells and when I have had to use them, Dell has always done a great job. This is the highest end Dell I have ever bought... mostly XPS models prior. This makes me think I need to move on from just purchasing Dell products in my house.

Maybe hey will address this issue on the R7 in the future

your Aurora R7 will have TPM  if you do a search it will tell you how to enable it.

I was able to solve the TPM issue looking at another post and the Windows update checker says i can upgrade to Windows 11 but Dell does not have Aurora R7 on the approved list (many other models before and after are on the list) so you lose updates from Dell if you upgrade. Like you, I looked at upgrading but will look at other vendors due to this.

so when is Dell adding support for the R7 to upgrade to windows 11. 

I bit the bullet and upgraded to windows 11 anyway. It seems to be fine. It's a tad slower on start-up, but that might be more to do with the latest bios versions. I guess it's some configurations that can't go to Windows 11, but not all of them and Dell are covering their backsides by saying R7s can't be updated. Mine's now 4 years old.
