I have just recently upgraded to Service Pack 2.  On my computer it wont' let me do remote desktop anymore.  I have forwarded ports on my linksys router, and checked the box in the windows firewall to allow remote desktop.  It doesn't work.  When I have the firewall off it works fine, but whats the ponit of checking a box in the windows firewall if it doens't allow it to be used.  I also have this problem with remote assistance.  I had no troubles when using Windows Service Pack 1.
