computer will not start up at all
Hi
I think my computer (Inspiron 5150) has a major problem. It just will not start up. I get the Dell logo, then immediately a screen comes up with the following error message
A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer
STOP: 0x00000024 (0x001901FF, 0x82392370, 0xc0000102, 0x00000000)
It gives me the option of running in safe mode, normal mode etc. but none of these modes work - all I get is the same error coming up.
Please, does anyone know what should I do as I just have not got a clue

I did the repair. Afterwards it provided me with a DOS prompt so I did CHKDSK/ R which appeared to solve the problem

Restart the computer and enter the BIOS (either F2 or F8) and chnage the First Boot Device to the CD ROm drive . Save and Close. Put your XP CD in the CD Drive and preform a Repair install to see the problem is fixed, if not you may be looking at a clean install.
