Data Execution Program
For over 18 months I have suiffered pop ups when i start the computer - WMI has encountered a problem and wants to shgut down....data execution programme...send error reprot etc. These pop ups come up 6 or 7 times . Very annoying. Tried everything including going into control panel - mangement etc. Went onto the chat room today and saw other people having prob and told that it is a Dell software problem not Microsoft and you should go to control panel and delte Dell support file - which I have just done! However, I am still getting the pop ups!!!!! HELP!

Doing a google search for "WMI has encountered a problem" this is a common problem with the number of "hits". It can range from a Windows OS problem to being caused by Norton or even a virus.
Do a google search and look over the various items and the many fixes to see which one applies to your system. None of the sites I checked said anything about the Dell Support software.
