Does anybody else run Steam ?

Hi All,
 
Steam seems to be another software issue which won't run with Vista.
 
Does anybody else have this prob, and have you managed to resolve the problem ?

    I've been running Steam for months on Vista, both on beta versions as well as RTM.  I have not had a single issue.
     
    Are your graphics and audio drivers up to date?

    I have 32 bit vista and as i stated in the above post I have tried running it as an admin. Also when I downloaded an updated version of the installer for steam from the website I got the same error message.

    No issues at all running Steam on Vista.  As a matter of fact...I ran it for the first time in a few weeks...yesterday...it updated it's engine AND Half Life 2 Episode One...perhaps you should try reinstalling it.

    I am having problems running steam too. When I try to launch it it says I have to move steam to a folder where I have write privileges. I have tried running it as admin and I turned off UAC but those do not work either does anybody have a solution?

    Have you tried running it as an administrator?
     
    I don't seem to have to do this...
     
    Do you have 32 or 64-bit Vista?

    I run the Uk radio Gadget and have had no problems with it no stutters or crackles its really clear. Ive had no problems with normal streaming music either.

    What do I have to do to re-install it ?  (be gentle, I'm not techy minded)
     
    I had mine with Half-Life 2 as well, but can't play it any more due to the problem
