Error message on Outlook Express startup

On Outlook Express startup, I get a message:

"Some errors occurred while processing the requested tasks."

Then the Errors message states:

"Drafts folder was not polled for its unread count"

"Inbox folder was not polled for its unread count"

"Junk folder was not polled for its unread count"

"Sent folder was not polled for its unread count"

"Sent items was not polled for its unread count"

"Header download for the Inbox folder did not complete"

How do I remedy this?

    Kl2u,

Reinstalling IE/OE using the procedure give here should correct the problem.

Sounds like you may not be connected to the net, or if you are, then your login/password wasn't correct, or the server had some problem.

After this happens on startup, are you able to login to your server and download your mail correctly?

One way to hide the problem would be to *not* retreive mail automatically when you start up.

    I don't think you need to reinstall IE/OE yet...there's a configuration problem.

    Thank you.
I had several problems.  Everything now seems to be OK.  The biggest problem was resolved by unchecking "notify of missing tasks" in the advanced tab of the scheduled tasks window, and reinstating "normal startup" after Dell support had told me to do a "selective startup" and unclick "load startup items."
