Well it seems like this day would never come, but finally my Vista upgrade disc has arrived. DHL left the disc on the lawn by the side door because no one was home when I have a perfectly good enclosed front porch where they coulda left it. The install went fast and without issues on my desktop computer xps410. The only thing needed was the Nvidia driver for my 8800gts and the driver for the X-FI sound card. I've had Vista with Aero running on my laptop for a few months so Aero was nothing new, but it runs far better with the 8800gts than with the integrated graphics on the laptop. Windows Experience Index score is 5.1 with my Core 2 @2.13ghz CPU being the lowest score. So far everything seems to be running as it should and the install almost seemed too easy.
