Hello,

I have a Demension 8400 that was new in January 05.  Since the day I got it, Internet explorer hangs to the point where I have to press and hold the power  button.  This only happens when I click a link to a web page after it resumes from standby.  I have tried Dell email support with no luck.  When XP pro resumes, I sometimes get a info box that says network connection is lost and check cables.  I have this machine networked with a second desktop.  It is not always turned on when I get the error  message. My other XP Pro desktop does not have this problem.  I am about to pull out my hair.  It does it with the updates for XP and without them.  I have tried all the updated drivers with no  success.  I have the latist 05 bios.  I have tried to do a clean install, but when I install the SATA drivers using the F6 method I get stop errors.  When I don't hit F6 to load the SATA driver I can get a clean install but there is no option for suspend or hibernate. 

I sure could use some help,
