Letter writing

Good morning:  I have a Dell Dimension 4550 Windows  XP.  I would like to write some professional letters.  I went into Word but got very confused.  Could someone give me baby steps on how to do this because I am a newbie on pcs. Thanks, cheerio.  PS I am also a senior citizen.

Word has a letter writing template that can guide you. On the Word menu, go to File, New and select Template On My Computer, then choose which letter format you want to use. The Letter Wizard is a good one to start with. It will even start automatically if you just start writing a letter. Experiment with writing a letter and use Word's Help to assist. Post more questions about Word on the MS Office forum at Dell Talk.
