The guide downloaded from Microsoft is in an encrypted format with an .enc extension. The guide data is downloaded over the internet from Microsoft. The guide data is downloaded based on your Lineup ID, and individual channels are matched based on callsign. For channels to appear with the correct guide information, both the Lineup ID as well as the channel callsign must be set correctly. What issues are you having with Media Center. Below are some links from Microsoft KB's.
I am not having any issues at all. I love media center. I have it on my desktop and also on my server. My desktop is hooked to the internet and the server is not. So my desktop's guide (media center guide) is updated everyday and I want to know what file the information goes into so that I can manually update the guide in the server via briefcase or whatever being that all the server is used for is downloading all tv programs that I (we(wife and I)) and nothing else and it is not hooked to the internet and will soon not have antivirus.
So what I need to know is what file the tv guide info is downloaded into...
