Please, need help with Computer now.

My Latitude C640 says Windows Protection error, you need to restart your computer.  What does this mean?

I don't see how that wasn't polite. That link has a LOT of useful information for you to use to troubleshoot your issue.

    d-fish,

Before you barge in, which you seem to be doing a lot of on this forum, "Please be polite" is part of I love dell signature, has nothing to do with europa303 post.
Let people work threads that are already being addressed, if you want to help, find ones that have no replies instead of barging in on ones where other are trying to assist.

    Sincerely,
    Fox

barging in? i fail to see how me adding information to try and help people is "barging in." if you like, I could stop helping other people out when I think I have useful information, but doesnt that defeat the purpose of all of us posting here?

    d-fish,

First you were not providing help in no shape or form in this thread so that is irrelevant at this time. There are a large number of Members such europa, volcanoll, mombodog, etc with 3000+ posts and are quite capable of working a thread and do not need people barging in. These are being worked, if you want to help, then address the hundreds of un answered posts and show some common courtesy, respect to these long time Members that were working the thread before you blessed them with your presence.
So many of these new types such as yourself just but-in, ignore the fact that the first person to address the thread may have asked excellent questions so the OP could provide a better picture of what is happening, maybe they are researching the problem and waiting for the OP to get back, but no, you all barge in, yes it is barging in and start rattling off. You imply you don`t think the other person is capable of helping so you have to intervene. Again, help the lone posts with no replies, that is the intent of the forum. A few of the Members are already complaining about it. You seem nice and knowledgeable, put it to use on those lonely posts and think about the others working their tails off to help before barging in.

    Sincerely,
    Fox

i appologize if I have bothered you by misreading a signature. why dont we wipe the slate clean and start over. We are both knowledgable people, and can both be mature.
