Hello Dell-experts! Ok, it's not just dell experts I'm after. I've recently run into a slight hiccup: my media center is acting up. I first noticed it after I installed a new graphics card. Everything else runs smoothly, but when every now and then when I'm watching something with media center and I then either minimize the window or alt-tab to use another program and then jump back to MC the program starts acting strange. At that point I can only continue watching the movie I was watching before because if I try and jump back in the menus the screen freezes. I then have to restart Media Center, and refrain from jumping between applications. It is supremely annoying. I also have a problem playing media files that have a .sub file connected to them, meaning I can't watch any movies with subtitles. Grrr....
My questions are:
1) Has anybody had similar problems with their Media Center program? If so, have you been able to solve it?
2) If it can't be solved is there anyway to reinstall Media Center without reinstalling Windows? I can't seem to find the program anywhere on the microsoft site.
Please help, good people!
-Marcus
P.s. I've tried reinstalling the drivers for my graphics card several times, and it didn't change anything.
SSorry, I should have specified that the first time around.
Dell Dimension 9150 Windows Media Center Edition.
Graphics card: Asus 8800 GT (in case it makes a difference, because it wasn't until I installed the card that I started getting issues with subtitles and with media center).
