Quick Launch Icons
I'm setting up my Precision T3400 running XP Pro w/IE 7. My frustration is when I add short cut links to the "Quick Launch" area of the task bar. As can be seen in the 1st screen shot below I have made my own icons for 2 MSN sites,the Dell forum, my local paper, and a text file. After visiting these sites the icons revert to the one's seen in the 2nd screen shot. My XPS Gen 3 running XP Pro and IE 6 doesn't have this problem. I have Googled this phenomenon and the only fix I have found for this is to use FireFox.:O Any else run in to this problem ? If so were you able to fix it ?

I hope you don't mind me asking this Warren...Mombo, would that method also work for the items in the "favorites" ?Thank you in advance; gotta go shovel snow.... :smileysurprised:373

Many thanks my friend... I'll experiment with it today. Those darn icons always revert back to their default.... One way or another I'll get 'em to stay with the ones I want !!!Happy Holidays Warren and Mombo..373

Thanks for your reply. I gave your idea a shot but, it's a no go. I got a "! Cannot apply changes to this internet shortcut." dialog box thrown at me. I guess the boys at MS left this feature out of IE 7, maybe I should give Firefox a try. Thanks again.
