Re-installed XP, major errors

My father in law gave us his old laptop, a latitude C610. It was really slow, so i decided to format it. However once i formatted it with my own copy of XP (I wasnt given any dell related software). I can't load any drivers from dell off my thumbdrive. I get the following error when i open any drivers off the thumbdrive

"The procedure entry point GetVolumeInnormationA could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll"

What should i do to fix this?

You may have to burn the "Drivers" for the laptop to a CD. The laptop has no USB drivers yet.

    Very important!

INSTALL the drivers in THIS order.

All i can guess is the driver is included in XP,which means your thumbdrive should work. anyway HERE are

the Chipset Drivers from the Intel site,if you wish to try them.
