i have a brand new deminsion, and after reformatting(the job dell did was terrible),

(i know i did it right becuae ive had around 500 pcs in my life and i bult them all and they run perfect)

 and insalling the stuff i use. i think it should run alot better then it does. my other dells run perfect, like they open programs in less then .5 of a second. and the startup is fast. and thoes i constantly use and play games. but this one i never use and i reformatted it with almost nothing on it. and the startup isnt as fast as i would like it to be. around 10 seconds. its like, my AOL insatnt messenger pops up, then a few seconds pass bye, then my msn, then about 4 seconds later my A drive makes noise and the desktop refreshes. my other pcs are instant and they are much older. and i can see little preformance screw ups. like when i go into my C drive all the folders seem to refresh and quickly show their pic but. but on my other pcs its like INSTANT perfect. i dont know what it might be, maby a bad update or something. i payed 2 thousdand dollars for this comptuer and the opti plexes at my school run alot better. it isnt memory or anything i think its just preformance. im also using the windows classic skin with no special effects. so you would expect to at least seem faster but no.

a way i use to determine how fast a pc runs, is when you open the task bar, it eather goes really slowly or very quickly. on my other computers. i press the << buttion and its insatantly there, on this pc, it crawls very choppy
