System restore problem
I need to do a System Restore but all I get is a blank white screen. Have tried doing it in 'Safe Mode with Command Prompt' and also in 'Safe Mode' with no luck, just keep getting the same blank white screen. Also having a problem with websites only showing partial content, unable to print, and am suspecting some sort of Javascript problem. Anyone have any ideas what this could be or any suggestions on any other ways to do a System Restore?......thanks!
- Sparkenh.....tried what you suggested but received an error. The message said that the module could not be found. Was able to solve the problem though by entering 3 regsvr32* commands mentioned in the link that 'wellwisher' had sent. Thanks for the help, it's greatly appreciated!
- Wellwisher....good news!Just tried the advise in the link you sent and entered the 3 regsvr32* commands and voila, I was able to access System Restore. For some reason I was unable to restore the system to the 2 different previous dates that I tried (received a message that said something like 'Unable to successfully restore system' but it turns out that I didn't need to. It seems that the 3 commands themselves solved my problem and everything seems to be back to normal. I can't thank you enough since I was very close to doing a full XP reinstall.
