VDD(03) error when opening game
Stats:
OS: Windows ME (4.90, Build3000)
Processor: Intel Pentium III
Memory: 256MB RAM
Page File: 128MB used, 1664MB available
DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce2 GTS/GeForce2 Pro
Lately, any time I go to open games (namely RollerCoasterTycoon 1 or 2), the system falls into the blue screen that says a bunch of error messages, and then gives me this file name: VDD(03) + 00001816 Error 00 : 0028 : C0231952
This happens every time, not just once in a while.
Now, in about January, I called the Tech Support Hotline to fix a "Windows Protection Error" blue screen, and we did almost every concievable thing to the computer to fix it. I believe that we may have changed some CD drive properties, disabling and reenabling them, but I am not positive. In any case, games in the CD drives worked fine up until recently.
System Restore doesn't work well, either. I've had to dis- and reenable System Restore, so there's nothing before two days ago, and the problem has been here for at least three days now.
I have noticed that it isn't just the RCT games, but it's also games like the Sims 2. Games not involving the CD drive work fine.
Could anyone help me fix this VDD error that keeps coming up?
Thanks!
