Ok...

 

I'm about to take the plunge into the world of Vista Ultimate 64.

 

I've cloned my present OS and stored the copy away, have 4 sticks of 2GB RAM ready to go, and all drivers on disk.  The hard part is going to be getting a block of time with two kids running around and a honey-do list longer than a kite string on a stormy day...

 

Quick question for the group.  Has anyone tried deactivating their Paging File (as per Tom's Hardware)?  And if so what were your results? I'll likely give this a try since I'll have the RAM to back up this move, but I would be interested in hearing from anyone who's tried this, and what their results were.  Any crashes?  Performance improvements? Tips?
