Ok so I have the age old problem with my 32bit OS it runs out of memory all the time, so the solution to this is to install a 64Bit OS and install more RAM.

 

Now my big problem is that the software I use “MapInfo” is not tested on Vista 64, I am just wondering if I was to purchase a copy of Vista 64 and install it on my PC. Then run my software under 32bit compatibility mode would I be able to use more than 4GB of RAM or does the 32bit compatibility limit the amount of RAM available to the program?

 

Also how good is the 32bit compatibility mode does it work with all programs?
