What is this stuff?

Just got a new XPS-400 w/XP-Pro. We all know that it comes with lots of junk we don't need or want, and I've got rid of most of that by now. Learning from past mistakes, I'm not as reckless doing this as I used to be. What I'd like to know is, is there a place one can go to find out the use, need, purpose, and whether it's safe to delete, the following programs and files:
My Way Search Assistant
Modem On Hold & Modem Helper (I'll never use a phone line)
Creative Media Source
Learn 2 Player
Photo Click
Web Cyber Coach 3.2 dell
Wild Tangent Web Driver
Borland Shared / Borland Database Engine
Won - Face Maker
Viewpoint
(Would it be to much to ask that Dell or Microsoft explain what these things do, and what isn't needed?)

i'll answer what I know offhand.  use google for the rest

myway -- spyware/search assistant.  either way, you likely don't need it and should ditch it (microsoft's spyware program should take care of it for you)

viewpoint -- toolbar/mediaplayer commonly installed with AOL.  possibly spyware.  i'd get rid of it as I don't think it's needed for AIM (although it might reinstall).  definitely ditch the toolbar and the manager

wildtanget -- also possibly spyware -- usually installed with AIM games

Thanks, it's a start. I've looked up a few at Google, but some interpretation is needed. I was hoping that somewhere there was an unbiased, plain language site explaining a lot of these.
