I did a search and really didn't find anything on this. I have a new Dell XPS Studio running Windows 7 Ultimate.

I am used to running Outlook Express for my e-mail needs.  Unfortunately, Windows 7 obviously doesn't offer OE.  I therefore am using the Windows Live mail program since it is a little closer to OE and also because the Windows Live Hotmail program is annoying and is very frequently unavailable.  Often, when I would try to bring it up, it would instruct me to "try again later".

When you set either of these up, you have to do so with a Hotmail account (which I never used before) and put in your server settings etc.

I tried Live Hotmail and when I decided to change to Live Mail.  Now, when I bring up Windows Live Mail, there are many times, no e-mails in my inbox.  However, I then open up Live Hotmail and it has "intercepted" them!  It is as if the mail goes to Live Hotmail first (probably because it is an "online" e-mail program) and it never gets to my Live Mail account.

How do I "TURN OFF" Live Hotmail so it doesn't "steal" my incoming mail from my Windows Live Mail?
