Luck you it is Home version, here is the trick, boot into safe mode, this is the real administrator account in XP Home, one you are in safe mode go to control panel/user accounts,  delete his account, or change/delete the password so you can log into his account and snoop around. :smileysurprised:

"The fact that the administrator password is blank by default also allows you to use XP Home's safe mode to reset the password of other user accounts on your machine in the event that you lose the original password."

Thank you! Will this work also if I find that he has set himself up as the administrator?  That is what I am thinking he has done.  I'll let you know this evening.

Yes, in xp home you are never the real administrator, only in safe mode are you logged into the real administrator account, it is hidden in regular mode.

Just hope he has not password protected this hidden account, most do not know about it.
There is a work around for this issue also.
