iPad And RDP

using my iPad and an rdp connection to a Windows 7 professional server, I can only use one half of my iPad screen in landscape mode...Is this normal or can some adjustment be made to fix this?

I have no issues in portrait mode...

I'd like to purchase the premium subscription ...but without the ability to see the full screen on my iPad it would be a waste.
