Camera auto-adjusts brightness

Hi there!

When I participate in videocalls, the camera auto-adjusts the brightness. When my face is not recognized, the camera brightness becomes extremely dark. I would like to maintain same brightness regardless if my head moves left or right.

How could I do that?

I'm having the exact same issue with my new Dell Inspiron i7. My students keep asking why I keep turning the light off and on. Did you find a solution? I wish Dell would fix this, rather then us having to purchase separate hardware.

We tried reaching you on a private message asking for the Service Tag number to ascertain the warranty but did not receive a response. Please feel free to reply to the private message whenever you are available.

Welcome to the Dell Community @ntelo007

Have you tried "Pro Mode" ???

    It may help???

Go to "Start" and click on "Camera"

Click on the "Gear" in the upper Left Hand corner.

    Turn "Pro Mode"  ON

Now there will be a new Icon on the left side that is used for adjusting brightness.

Turn off the automatic gain of the camera's exposure.
