My Dell XPS 13 Keyboard was not working this morning. I turned off my laptop and disconnected my Dell Monitor (which wasn't actually turned on) and then turned my laptop on. Now the keyboard is working, even when I plug the monitor in. (Before unplugging the monitor, I tried a restart without unplugging it and the keyboard didn't work).

I had the same issue with my XPS-13 laptop. I even reloaded the system and had no luck. It is indeed the driver so I went to the Device Manager and found the "Keyboard" section. I simply uninstalled the keyboard it was trying to use and replaced it with the generic keyboard driver and it worked fine.
Not sure why it happened, but you can also work-around with a inexpensive USB keyboard till it is corrected...malware perhaps did it and is hiding. Not sure...
My keyboard doesn't work at all. Tried the fn key & f12 solution you recommend but it booted like Normal & keyboard still doesn't work. I also removed drivers & rebooted, doesn't work still. Don't know what to do
