Alienware Aurora R7, R8, R9 CPUID
I was able to find the list of microcode in the latest April bios ver. for R7/8/9. I have not been able to figure out which processors these CPU_ID are for.
R7: 06EB, 06EA, 06E3, 06E9, 06E8
R8-9: 06EA, 06EB, 06EC, 06ED
looks like processors with 06EC and 06ED cpuid are the new ones supported by R8-9 only.

906EC is for the top of the line 9th gen CPUs (e.g., 9900K, 9900KS, 9700K).
906ED is the middle tier 9th gen 9600K.
The April BIOs update is to address an Intel security vulnerability and CMOS reset issue.

I also find the same 4 cpuids (06EA-D) for XPS 8930 and Inspiron 5680. someone who owned a 5680 was asking whether he can put in a 9700k. looks like he is good to go.
I am able to delete some of the old microcodes in R7 bios, then insert the new 06EC/06ED patch data extracted from R9 bios.
now whether this R7 bios mod will actually work and not brick R7 motherboard is a different question.

No I do not have R7. but I am interested in seeing R7 rise to the same cpu level of R8/9.
I collect classic models, 730X and A51 R1. I am debating whether to get a barebone triad1.0 case and put coffee lake or zen2 in it.
