Alienware Desktop, new, upgrades
I have just purchased an Alienware desktop gaming pc. I want to upgrade the memory and graphics card from one I already have. Will this void my warranty?

No, but note that the warranty won't cover any third party components you add, and it won't cover any damage done to the system in the installation process.
Be sure you do not make modifications to the system other than installing the components -- if you do, those may void the warranty (i.e., don't rewire anything, etc.).

It all depends on what you got. These systems are notorious for their limited retail memory support. Putting in retail memory sticks will likely result in a non-booting system.
As for video card, depends on the power supply that came with the Alienware and the dimensions of the video card. some retail cards will cause a black screen if the UEFI does not like the UEFI environment of the video card.
