Aurora R15 AMD, spontaneously reboots
Alienware R15 AMD desktop shuts down intermittently. Did a clean W11 install a couple of weeks ago to try and fix this issue but it’s still happening.
“Startup repair” is always unsuccessful with “Error: OS_BOOT_FAILURE”. I’ll then launch “System repair” and that works.
The “Scan Hardware” diagnostic always comes back with “Everything looks good”
I’ve run memtest86 which passed and also scanned the HDD and SDD with Crystaldiskinfo and both drives come back “Good”.
What should I look at next?
System details:
BIOS Version 1.23.0
AMD Ryzen 9 7900X 12-Core Processor
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080
CPU Speed 4700 MHz
HDD ST2000DM008-2UB102-(SO) 2000GB
SDD PC801 NVMe SK Hynix 1TB-(SO)
Memory 32768 (DDRS)

1. Those are good tests and that is good news. The Hynix-SSD is your C-Drive, correct?
2. Using Dell's OEM-version or Microsoft.com Non-OEM version? Reason I ask is because Dell's Support Assist (and some of the other bundled Dell programs) has been troubling some users lately.
How does your Reliability History Report look?

Check your PSU mate. Do a OCCT test. I have the same specs you do with a 1350 PSU (assume you do too with that 4080). Kernel Power Critical errors at the time of reboot is another indicator too. The OS error could just be the Boot mgr, especially if you have ruminants of an old install on the HDD since i assume your OS is installed on the SDD.

@wimzTwo3 ,
Yeah, I love OCCT.
My favorite was the "Power Supply Test" and now they call it "Stability Test of Power". Also gets the coolant circulating through pump and radiator.

@Tesla1856 Thank you! After speaking with my son, he said he re-installed from the partition. I just did a clean install via USB by downloading W11 directly from Microsoft. Yes, on the SDD.
BTW, there was nothing on the Reliability Report as his previous install was only 10 days before. So, let's hope this does the trick. I appreciate your support!

@wimzTwo3 Thank you for your input. What I just did was install a clean version via USB that I downloaded from Microsoft directly (my son recently re-installed via the partition copy). Maybe that does the trick. I did the OCCT per your recommendation and no issues found. Pretty neat little tool! Thanks for that. And yes, I did install onto the SDD

@Mooondog ,
1. Good work
2. Perfect
3. Yeah, it gets reset.
4. You are welcome. Let's hope so. That's a nice build ... it should run fast. But also a Dell so it should be stable/reliable also ... it just needs to run Windows-11, real programs, and games.
