Area-51 AAT2250, Kingston memory?
Has ANYONE gotten anywhere on upgrading SUCCESSFULLY their memory with Kingston memory? - I was told by support what to buy and I cannot get it to work. (enable XMP, max ram to 6400MT/s) - Every system that I see has Kingston Fury Beast jacketed memory in them, but mine came with NO NAME BRAND green sticks and no XMP. Alienware will not just swap the memory OR let you PURCHASE it! - UNREAL

If you look at the two info above, Kingston Kingston XN09RP-HYA-A is the most popular user validated oem ram for Area-51 AAT2250.

@redxps630 does anyone have the Kingston fury beast memory shown in all of the Alienware photos that could take a photo and show what markings or numbers are on it?- instead of Alienware just agreeing to SELL me the memory, they just want to send the whole system back and may re-order with that black XMP memory option. Makes no sense to me- ILL PAY FOR IT

My understanding is that the Area51 has to be purchased with XMP memory option.
If not, XMP will not work even when you insert the proper XMP memory modules.
Also needs a K variant processor or XMP will not work. This might be why they do not want to sell it to you, because you might have a non-K processor?
They likely have a different BIOS or some other difference.

@Vanadiel Gosh, I hope that isn't true- talk about building a LOCKED machine and house of cards, but .....stranger things have happened. Support says with the DELL CERTIFIED memory that XMP should be visible and possible.

I am not sure there are different bios sold to customer who has or not -K cpu.
afaik there is only one bios,
now the bios might have a setting grayed out if it detects a non-K cpu.

@Maximus_5567 The official answer I got was: At the time of ordering the PC, the memory overclocking has to be selected. If not selected then it cannot be done later as it is customized accordingly at factory level.
Will be interesting to see what you end up getting when you put in the OEM XMP memory sticks.
Keep us posted!

I have upgraded with CUDIMM 2x KVR64A52BD8-32 6400, the only you can buy and which has even better values across the board (bandwidth 132479 MB/s vs 125360, latency 109.7 ns vs 128.9)
