Area-51 R2, black screen
My Area 51 crashed when booting a game (using intel OC). When I rebooted the screens were stuck on black. Things I have tried:
- going into the BIOS does not work
- keyboard lights up, but caps / num lock does not work
- screens work (i tested with another computer)

Another thing I tried was booting with a USB Stick which had ubuntu on it, that didn't work either.
Thanks in advance

Area 51 R?
black screen= No POST. Try reset CMOs jumper on motherboard.
Clearing CMOS Settings
To properly clear, AC power must be applied (not necessarily turned on) to the system for about 10 seconds while the CMOs jumper is closed.
Locate the CMOS jumper (CLEAR_CMOS1) on the system board.
Remove the jumper plug from pins 2 and 3 and fix it on pins 1 and 2
Plug in AC power to the system and wait ten seconds for the CMOS to clear.
Remove the jumper plug from pins 1 and 2 and replace it on pins 2 and 3.

Yes, just unplug the PC and remove the CR2032 battery from the motherboard. For more information, see option #4 here.

Okay still No POST. CMOs jumper and battery did not work. Next try remove all rams and install only one ram in DIMM 1. Preferably borrowing one good ram from another working pc. also borrow a simple working PCIe graphics card to replace the current one. disconnect all usb and sata devices from motherboard. you need to have only cpu, one ram, one simple gpu installed on board to do POST.
You still have not told us A51 R?

So I tried running with only one ram in each of the slots. After that didn't work I tried running without any ram, and did not get any beeps. So then I moved the GPU to another slot and tried running again, and that also did not produce any beeps.
This means that either the gpu or the motherboard is dead?
Sadly I have no other ram or gpu to do further testing.

if motherboard does not beep at all when there is no ram in any slot, that is not a good sign. Most motherboard is designed to beep when no ram is detected.
gpu can be tested in another pc before calling it guilty. you said you have another computer?
