Area-51 R5, not recognize NVMe?
Area-51 R5 Not recognized nvme,my new R5 come with 16gb intel optane memory ,i disable the optane memory and replace 970pro in the motherboard but system seems like Not recognized it,someone have same issue?

The area 51 R5 does not support NVME/PCIe drives. Only SATA drives are supported. The following site at Crucial displays compatible drives. Note that none of them are NVME/PCIe.

The following forum post might help but note the user had to use a U.2 to M.2 adapter in order to have it work.

thanks,i put 970 pro on motherboard,disable inter momery,enable efi then it works

So you did get it to work on the Area 51 R5? That is surprising, since the specs and online retailers do not show NVME/PCIe drives as compatible. Glad to see you got it working and that is an outcome I am going to have to keep in mind.
So disable Intel Optane and enable UEFI did the trick...thanks for the information!
