Aurora 11, orange oval with exclamation point

Playing DCS World in VR using Quest 1 with Quest Link with Alienware Aurora 11 PC, Windows 10, intel I9. Sometimes the game loads up and plays flawlessly, sometimes it doesn't. When it doesn't the controllers don't work and I can't even exit the game without unplugging the link cable. I see a big orange oval shape with an exclamation mark in the center of the oval with the headset on. The PC screen shows a Windows 10 troubleshooting page but no real direction. When I run compatibility issues I keep seeing a Windows 8 issue.

An suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Jsholes11  welcome to this Alienware Laptop user to user discussion forum. This is not Dell Support.

Guess that this Desktop Alienware Aurora R11's CPU is Intel Core i9-10900K and GPU is Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 (24GB GDDR6X) or something similar. The Win10 DCS World in VR Quest gives Win8 headset compatibility issue icon on the screen. Apparently there is a Win8 headset device driver update requirement and/or GPU Win10 DCS World settings problem. To get your problem fixed, Advocate visiting any of the online specialist gaming forums that are also reporting this problem.

DELL-Cares, just want to confirm that you have received my service tag number on my previous email?

That is weird. I play DCS too and my R11 arrives tomorrow and sooo excited. Have you tried the DCS forum in the input/output thread under Virtual Reality? There’s good VR help in there if it’s a be HMD issue. I hope you get it figured out.
