Aurora R10, air cooled, CPU temperatures
Hi,
I just got an Aurora R10 Ryzen 3700x and GTX 3080 with air cooling yesterday. While I have been loving the performance, I have noticed seemingly high CPU temperatures on AMD Ryzen master. While running games like Assassin's Creed Odyssey and COD Warzone, the CPU reaches at least 85°C. When running the Alienware stress test went above 95°C. Is this normal for this type of computer? If it’s not, can I still use it or will it destroy my cpu? And what type of cooling should I get to fix it?

I upgraded immediately to the Corsair H60 AIO and temps dropped dramatically. In the course of testing after the install, no combinations of fan placement and qty gave me any better cooling than the single fan that comes with the H60. Heck, I even tried 2 of my MASSIVE Delta 120mm fans and at any RPM they didn't offer any temp drop beyond the single push fan.
Just drop in the H60 and forget about it.

Since AMD list the Ryzen 3700X maximum temperature as 95°C, then I would say the CPU temps are within specification. After all, a stress test is just that, something that pushes the device to it's limit.
Unless your computer is shutting down on it's own, games crashing or locking up, I would not be concerned about the temperatures.
Your game playing temps seem within normal range, if you want them lower than a liquid cooler for your CPU would be required.

Agreed. Air-cooled CPUs are too loud for me. I feel stressed hearing the CPU fan screaming.

To be expected with air cooling.
You can replace the fan/heatsink with a corsair h60 or corsair h75 AIO, and corsair ml120 pro fans in push/pull.
