Aurora R10, placing GPU in custom build
Alright community, so I built a gaming PC in January and finally pulled the trigger to upgrade from previous much less GPU. I am reading that the GPUs for the Alienwares are throttling from thermal paste (or lack thereof) and wanted to know if placing in my custom build would help with this or if it’s inevitable? Thank you!

Airflow will help, yes.

I am not sure what you plan on doing, but if you want to move a GPU from the R10 to another system, there's no reason why it would not work.

What I bought the system for was to get the 3080 and a 5800x CPU. I plan on switching both components over. I just wanted to know if the better airflow from my custom PC would allow for better temperatures with the 3080 issue that’s been happening or if I would need to do this regardless?

Yeah so I have a lian li 011 dynamic with 6 lian li daisy fans so I have plenty of airflow with a arctic aio for cpu. I just wanted to know if I would need to still go and apply more paste inside the GPU to fix the issue that I keep seeing with Dell’s RTX cards or if it would keep the temps low with the amount of airflow I currently have in my custom build.
