Aurora R10, second GPU? #2

Hi,

I'm looking at possibly adding another GPU to my computer and wonder what options I have with this build;

Aroura R10 Ryzen Edition

AMD Ryzen 7 3700X

AMD Radeon EX 5700

16Gb Ram (will be expanding to 48Gb)

I would like to add another AMD Radeon RX 5700, the same as what I have but seem to run into a roadblock on getting it from Dell, they don't sell these GPU's separately.

Can a AMD Radeon RX 5700 obtained outside Dell be used? I would like to get the same GPU but am open to explore a compatible GPU to what I have now as I'm not sure what other GPU's are compatible with this motherboard and power supply capacity and working with the RX 5700?

I'm not sure what all the computer specs are, can't seem to easily find the computer specs through Dell website or Support Assist.

Does Dell have GPU's from returned computers that are in good condition but not reused in new builds that they might want to sell? I am looking to get the same GPU as what I have if possible.

I don't know too much about the computer innards so any recommendations on adding a second GPI to what I have would be appreciated. I want to boost rendering speed for Blender but add to what I have

Read through this older thread = Aurora R10, can I add a second GPU?

Basically, there are a few issues:

- Space between the existing video card and the second video card.

- Length of new video card.

- The bottom 16X8 slot is PCIe 3.0, not 4.0. Since it is only electrically wired as an X8, this will likely impact GPU performance.

- Power requirements (depends on existing PSU).

- Heat production from video cards. This will likely affect your system the most. Trying to get rid of heat produced by 2 video cards tightly packed together (if they fit) with air cooled GPU's in that case will be a big issue.

Thanks for the reply you have great points to consider.

I reached out to Dell but they don't tell you these things and they know my system limitations.

I've been trying to find info on the motherboard the PSU and specs on the card they installed so I can research and get an understanding but not winning in that area. Dell sales says I have 3 cards I can add alongside the one I have but thanks for the heads-up
