Aurora R11, 1.0.3 bios update safe?
Just wondering if this update has been applied to anyone yet?
Having a issue with OC controls not being able to apply in Command center and wondering if this could fix it.
Jumping off another post about throttling and trying to find a fix. Ran across this update.

Just downloaded BIOS 1.0.3 and installed, no issues up to this moment!
I had some issue with 1.0.2, after that Dell retired any Bios from download area, up to this new release 1.0.3, was bit scared but tried anyway!, hope all will works properly
I used the same downloaded file and all the process was normal
Good luck!

Just to report after some days from BIOS upgrade, no issues with the recent Bios 1.0.3, all is working properly!
My recommendation is to follows all instructions for the update procedure and be careful to avoid any interruption of the process.
Then update drivers as necessary as Dell recommendations.
Have a great weekend!

Did u get the downloads from the support section? Cause I saw it on a notification site. not from the support website, not from the dell website...
On the top right says download, automatic, bios update, drivers, and ACC.
IS this where u got it from ? Just worried about it, I have similar specs my Aurora R11.

Thanks for posting this. I was unaware of new bios.
I ran Dell Support Assist and it downloaded and then installed the bios no problem. (and 6 other updates!)
I ran HWiNFO 64 to double check - shows the 1.0.3 is now installed.

I also took a leap of faith for the 1.0.3 BIOS update with Dell Support Assist. It took a long time for it to update the BIOS firmware, but my computer has been working well afterwards.

Yes I have downloadewd from support section, and then used the same downloaded file to update, all was fine and no issues with the Alienware Command center, or any other problem up to date!
As I sayd just be careful and follows the instructions, use your service tag number to be sure Bios is marked as "this computer" "urgent" labels in the right side, otherwise ask in technical chat with Dell support before proceed.
I know this kind of process give some scaring, but please be in mind this also, if you have a stable power supply energy in your area, just go on, otherwise if energy cuts are usual, think about it before proceed, if the process is interrupted pc will be bricked and will have to go to technical service. Believe me, it's a real nightmare when electricity gone in the middle of the process
Good Luck and God bless you all!

How long did it take ? mine is still running and its at the 50-minute mark now. I'm a bit worried something is messed up.
