I bought a Kensington N17 combination locking cable for my R11. It will simply slide in and out of the slot. I am looking for the proper lock for this computer
If you are asking where to attach the lock, that would be #11
Lock attaches at Number 11
If you are asking what Kensington lock will work--
As the Kensington N17 is listed for use with laptops, you may need to order--
Kensington Desktop and Peripherals Locking Kit
Manufacturer Part K64615US | Dell Part A3609721 | Order Code A3609721
A little more digging shows 3 different engagement types--Wedge, Kensington T-Bar and Non-Standard Security Slot Anchor. It appears that Dell uses the Wedge...but who knows, it's Dell, they may use the T-Bar on the desktops.
At this point I don't want to do any more digging.

After a second look, the N17 uses a standard 5mm keying system; so it should work in your R11.
Not sure why it would not?

Did the A3609721 Locking Kit work? I was sold both an N17 and Click-safe Wedge type lock by Dell and neither work on Desktops. They work on Laptops.
