Aurora R12, 48GB ram?
Hello,
I bought my Aurora R12 with 1x16GB 3466 MHz ram.
Specifically this one - https://www.bestbuy.com/site/alienware-aurora-r12-gaming-desktop-intel-core-i7-16gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-rtx-3070-256gb-ssd-1tb-hdd-lunar-light/6455826.p?skuId=6455826
I just installed 2x16GB 3200 MHz ram into the computer. Is it possible to put the 16GB stick that came with the computer into the computer so I have a total of 48GB?

Maybe you can, but should you?
I think 2 reasons to NOT do it.
1. It's never a good idea to mix "non-exactly matching" memory-DIMMs inside a single machine.
2. Three DIMMs means one memory-bank is un-even and now running Single-Channel. Pretty sure that means the whole machine drops-back all memory to (the slower) Single-Channel memory scheme.

These are the supported ram specifications for the R12: R12 User Guide page 14.
3 x 16 is not supported. Besides the fact a 3 stick memory configuration is typically not supported, you are also mixing different memory modules and speed, and without populating either 2 or 4 banks you will also loose out on dual channel, or it might work improperly.
I would not recommend using this configuration as I am pretty sure it will lead to undesired operation and errors.

Agree with the others that say 3 sticks is almost certainly a no-go.
If you are interested in parting with the OEM stick, and it's a jv223 compatible one, that would let me pair up my single stick, and you could then standardize on 2 or 4 of the 3200 sticks you already bought.
PM me if open to that.

What about 4 sticks same speeds different sizes? 8x2 and 16x2 creating 24 gigs of ram in each channel. I know its not in the manual but I want to know if it will work, and if not why
