Aurora R12, won't post after automatic update
So my daughter's Aurora R12 had an automatic update this afternoon. After it shut down it would not reboot or post. I have changed the CMOS battery and reset the jumpers. Nothing. Any ideas?

Are you stuck at a black screen with the power button flashing, or does it immediately turn itself off?

The flashing is an error code to identify the problem. How many times does it flash in sequence?

I stopped counting after 16. I don't think its providing any code.

Did you try this procedure to clear CMOS? No need to touch the jumpers, put them back where they were.

If it is just flash, pause, flash, pause that is an error code too. That would be an error code 1; system board BIOS and ROM failure.
So a Flash, pause, flash, pause, would be error code one
A double flash flash, brief pause double flash flash, pause, would be error code 2.
And so on.
Any time there is a flashing amber light on the power button and you're stuck at a black screen (no post) that is an error code.

If the above procedure doesn't work (try above first before this), then press and hold Control + Escape while restarting the desktop, and try following the prompts when the recovery screen appears to reset nvram and then recover your BIOS.

Sounds like windows update failed the bios flash. Have you tried downloading 1.1.2 and doing a flash from usb?
